Why not draw a few more good guidelines on the XAU

The XAU is showing a stagger plateau as in 11/10/98 For it to create a baseline it needs a HIGHER price of gold. Beyond $265 to hold support. Question that is most important... Was the recent run up to 70, really based on demand, or was it part of a large OTC derivative transaction.

Tom, you'd be better off finding a better index then the XAU to anaylze. An index that is heavily weighted with 3 or so equity becomes a vehicle to play the equity against the index. Since the XAU is a cash index on settlement a dichotomy exists on the day after expiration.
