If you study the trading pattern of Microsoft for the past five years, you will see that whenever the stock price hit the 200 moving average , the stock price rebounded. Whenever the stock price, the 50 and 200 moving average price met, the stock price started a major moving up. If Microsoft continues its flat trading pattern , the stock price the 50 and 200 age will meet some time in Sep of 1999 !!

Is Windows 2000 a combination of Windows NT and Windows 98 ?

No. It was originally going to be called NT 5. It is a new version of NT. They're not going backwards and "combining" it with an OS they've long tried to kill off, but which continues to put up a valiant fight for continuation. (There are, however, shared technologies between the two OS families, including, of course, the browser.)

Unfortunately, they decided that confusion about the name in the marketplace is a good thing. Maybe it will help get some who might have been scared of it to finally switch over to NT.

I currently have Release Candidate 1 Win2000 (shipped to me earlier this month) therefore I think we can expect a fall 1999 production release.

Cheers
