Thanks a lot for the responses folks. As I mentioned, I am still very long. IMHO, when SYD goes public in the states, they almost have to have some customers to brag about. This gives the IPO substance. The investing public will not be impressed with merely "customer trials". You and I know trials take a long time to close and 80% of these trials ends up going no where.... if the vendor does not manage it well from the start. Remember, qualified trials are key. Anything less translates to "Techies" with a new toy to play with for 30 days. Techies usually have minimal buying influence. Their job is usually proof on concept only.

With over 15 competitors, SYD will need to act decisively and quickly. They do seem to be on track and on time. That is an important first step. As Owen is signing up VARS, I hope he is holding them to some upfront financial commitment.... IE.... the var is required to sell " X " amount within the next 6 months. Else, they will owe SYD a minimum of "Y" dollars.

Best wishes to all us longs. We shall wait and see.
