Matt; I saw post on other threads were some brokers cut the
limb after the people were out on it.
techstocks.com
Like Steve says they can do just about what they want.
I use it it but I'm very cautious and don't just ride it,
more often than not when I use margin it's just a day trade.
UOPIX is 2x leveraged NDX ( 1.8 ) and that's like
being on margin and if you don't margin it they can't force
you to make a call.
POTCX is 2x the SPX and you don't need to worry about a call.
----------
Both can lose fast in a down market but your not forced out.

OT* Matt, I just wondered if you had a chance to check out
indextrade.com yet. We're trying make it easier for everyone to make quick moves in and out of the market, trading a variety of "Indexes", like S&P, Nasd100, etc. as well as T-Bonds, $/Euro, and others.

Right now we're in beta, and we'll open up real money trading at the end of this week. But you can check it out for as a "player". I would really like to know what you think - we've tried
to make risk much easier to quantify and manage, as well as make sure everyone knows what they're "getting into" with each trade.

Depending on whether or not you want overnight risk, trades of a few $ per point can be put on for less than $100 of risk.

In any case, it's a new way of doing things. I used to trade for a bank, and really missed being able - as a small investor - to trade in and out of positions quickly. This is what we've created to satisfy that need.

I hope that this helps.

BTW - Nice statistics on your page...I'm taking a look now.
