Glad to see you survived unscathed... I'm not sure if you are in Bret territory. I was a little to close to the Jasper situation a few years ago... yikes, I expected to see cows flying by my window any minute...

I was sweating my pecan trees. The limbs are heavy with nuts and any wind above 40mph would played hell with them. I can pee more than we got in rain. I remember Buehla (g, we got 24 to 32 inches in about 24 hours. I thought I was going to have to find Noah for a while (g)

John,
Didn't realize you were in Houston. We were there this weekend taking our son to Rice and had planned to drive down to Galveston with our other son to look at the Marine Bio campus of A&M when we learned they were evacuating the west end of the island. Decided not to go, although Ammo (son) thought it sounded like a great time to be there; I think he had visions of himself building a seawall, or saving lives, or maybe he just hoped he'd miss school.
Glad you escaped unscathed.
What a welcome to Houston THAT would have been for all those incoming freshmen.
