Hello everyone,
I am working late again tonight. (It is Late!!!)

I feel, as an eGaming consultant and ECNC shareholder, that I need to explain a little bit about eSportsbet's importance to eConnect. I prepared a brief "Sportsbook Q and A" for everyone to learn a bit more about eSportsbet and it's potential place in the gaming world.

Let me start by saying I can not give you an official opening day for eSportsbet (legaly), but I can assure you everything in Costa Rica is fine. Our software is super and works perfectly. We will be up VERY soon! I do need to convey that the most important issue with eSportsbet is it's amazing profit potential, not it's opening day.

So what will make us profitable?
Most important of all is management. Any Las Vegas sportsbook manager will agree that management is the key to running a successful operation. We are very lucky to have our current staff at eSportsbet. In my conversations with Jim Wexler I have learned that our staff is 100% top notch. I assure you that our people have the credentials to be working in any major Las Vegas casino's sportsbook. This has me more excited than anything. These guys are going to help us big time!

After management what else is important for online gaming?
The next most important issue is a user friendly web site and customer service. Once again, I am very happy with the new system set up in Costa Rica. I feel very confident that we will have a superior edge in the market with our new site. It has been proven through time that these valuable assets, in addition to great management, attract new clients and keep the old ones coming back. I have been assured, and can assure you (without going into too much detail) that the proper steps are being taken to generate significant site traffic through advertising and new eGaming alliances. This means big and quick cash for eConnect.

What events can people wager on at eSportsbet?
Almost every sports proposition that you will find on the strip in Las Vegas.

Will the Starnet bust hurt eConnect?
Not at all. Starnet's recent problems are with CANADIEN authorities. They are being investigated for illegal book making activities. They are not being investigated for running online gambling, there is a big technical and legal difference.

Is the delay in eSportsbet's opening hurting us?
The answer is NO!!! Mr. WEXLER and I are in complete agreement that the eSportsbet delay has not been financially harmful to eConnect. As long as eSportsbet opens before September 6 we will be in great shape. THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL NOT OPEN BEFORE SEPTEMBER 6, BECAUSE I ASSURE YOU ALL IT WILL!!! SEPT 6 is just the "OFFICIAL NEW YEAR FOR SPORTS BETTING."

THE REASON: Almost any professional in the sports gaming industry would agree July and August account for the lame duck period in sports betting. The only major sports action happening at this point of the year are in early football proposition wagering (Superbowl Winner odds, NFC CHAMP odds, and AFC CHAMP odds) and Major League Baseball. Let us face it, though numbers are currently being posted on the WNBA, PGA, and Nascar, bettors do not generate a very high volume of action on these events. Baseball would attract some attention, more than usual with the Maguire and Sosa home run race shaping up again, but it would still not attract enough action to declare an emergency.
September 6 is the critical date for us, as the passing of Labor Day is the traditional begining of the new betting season. It is an unwritten rule that gamblers begin thinking of football wagering after Summer is officialy over (Labor Day). At this point their mind set is shifted toward gearing up for the fall season and football. Football is the "KING" as far as sports betting goes. Football usualy accounts for over 90% of the year's sports wagering volume. In conclusion, in my professional opinion, there really is no real hurry to put eSportsbet up. I am a share holder in eConnect as well as evryone here, and I am telling you this delay is not hurting us a bit. It may even be more beneficial at this point to wait another week or two and have a grand opening with the begining of football season. This would make eSportsbet's first online month look a heck of a lot better, on paper, then if we opened with three weeks of baseball. Start with a bang is my feeling! Our first monthly eSportsbet PR will be much more impressive that way.
ONCE AGAIN, (FOR ALL OF YOU WORRY WARTS WHO MISSED IT "IN ALL CAPS" EARLIER) THIS WILL NOT BE THE CASE, ESPORTSBET WILL DEFINATELY BE UP VERY SOON!!!

How much money will eSportsbet make?
Obviously it is too early to tell. There are a lot of sportsbooks out there now. Honestly most of them are crap. The average sportsbook on the market has poor management and limited software capability. These rag-tag operations usually are notorious for paying winners slowly, if at all, and are doomed from the start. It is for these reasons that management is critical. A few bad experiences with customers can lead to the complete demise of a customer base. eSportsbet will not operate like this, eliminating the above from our long term competition list. Actually they will eliminate themselves.
Our main competition will be the legitimate operations. Examples of good online sportsbooks, to name a few, would be the World Sports Exchange, Carib Sports (not to be confused with Carribean Sportsbook which really "sucks"), WWTS (World WIde Tele-Sports), and Centerbet. These are legitimate players in the industry who have great management, sites, reputations, and quick payouts. Look at these sites if you have time, eSportsbet will operate like one of these sites, thus helping us "the cream" to rise to the top. These Sportsbooks have been known to generate over a million dollars in volume on a pro football Sunday. From what I have seen and heard about eSporsbet so far, I feel we will eventually have what it takes to compete with the big boys. Rome was not built in a day, but Bally's built Paris (in Las Vegas) in under two years (we are in the same business with guys now).

bettorsworld.com , these guys have a great site that is becoming the "60 Minutes" of online sports wagering. They promote the good sites and expose the bad. They will also give you a pretty nice education about the industry.
