Is my only option to setup from scratch and re-download all the data again?

No!

When I did a clean install of Windows 98 I made a back up copy of the Qp2data directory and all of its sub-directories first. Next I installed Quotes Plus Version 2 and then copied my backup copy of the Qp2data directory to the new Qp2data directory and over wrote existing files. You can do the same thing when you install Quotes Plus from scratch and then there is no need to re-download data. Quotes Plus uses two separate directories. Quotpls2 for the program and Qp2data for data. It is a good idea to regularly make a backup copy of the Qp2data directory so you can avoid having to re-download a lot of data if you ever have a hard disk failure. This also gives you a backup copy of your scans.

Best thing to do Chip is call up the friendly people at Quotes Plus and have them send you a new CD. Thats what I do whenever I cannot reestablish my database. For the cost of the shipping, its well worth it. Less hassle!
