I agree with you on this issue. Somehow there should be a way to force our elected politicians to debate this issue of legalizing drugs.

Joycelyn Elders, previous Surgeon General who suggested that we talk about this issue, was forced out of office. I would hope that the voters would chase some of the "head in sand" conservative Republicans out of office in 2000.
