I'd say that a legitimate shortage would trump seasonality. Are we at that point now?

I think we approach problems from a different direction. You want to determine if the DRAM pricing has legs in order to know how to play the stock. I look at the price of the stock (as well as that of other hardware manufacturers) to determine if the DRAM pricing has legs.

That is why I pointed out that a new higher high in mu (than earlier in August) would not be at all seasonal. If the higher high happens, then I think the DRAM demand will go on for a while. I guess I'm saying I would buy mu on a breakout to a new high, but would avoid it in the meantime.
