qdog, if $ill said that all who work in telecommunications field are stupid and lazy, then I don't believe he believes that. He was smart enough to see Q! coming and all credit to him for that. Irwin and Co signed him up to WK. If he had the contempt you claim for Q! he would not be depending on them. You must admit it's quite fun to have a Mighty Q! leash on the mighty Microsoft.

A colleague and I in 1986 decided the ideal management model is a highly intelligent guy with a gorilla on a leash. We noticed that sometimes that was reversed and the manager holding the leash was the gorilla and the intelligent guy had the collar on his neck. The stupid gorilla tended to use the intelligent guy by swinging him around and around and bashing other people with him.

The trick with MSFT on the WK leash is to ensure that Q! does the holding of the leash. They have got a fairly good grip since they own the 3G technology and the ASICs and the pdQ together with much of the software. Q! will use CE as needed.

$ill won't be selling pencils while Q! is looking after him and MSFT.
