If the stock IPOs on the 1st then the recommendations will generally start on the 26th, assuming that the 26th is a trading day. If it isn't then it will be on the first trading day before that.

BEWARE. This is widely known and was being played. Like anything widely known it doesn't work well any longer. What we see now is an IPO stock trading up during the week before the recommendations start and then selling off on the news unless the recommendations are the most stellar possible.
