Sorry, I just don't feel comfortable doing that. John's guess was pretty specific and was so far off I felt that I could safely answer. But you're fishing buddy :-).

Actually I believe I would have to write quite a bit to put the dastardly thing in perspective. It would be pretty hard for someone to guess all the details of the problem and then put them in perspective.

The bottom line is that it was an unexpected situation that took a little time to debug, but in the end analysis was not all that difficult to technologically overcome.

I will tell you there neither was, nor is, anything fundamentally wrong with either the process or the design. Just a glitch.
