E commcerce is going to become a huge disinflationary force.

It is expected to make a major impact in the second half of 2000, and then into 2001 and 2002.

I tend to agree with you. The question is when. It could be decades away.

I remember reading a book on the subject of money that stated that all fiat currencies eventually become worthless and used it as a justification for owning gold.
