Hi Grace, thanks... and good to see you here too. I'll have to look more closely at ISLD's recent architectural constructs, in addition to their business model, in order for me to answer that question with any integrity. In general, however, they were among the first to see the need for providing route alternatives to stranded international SPs and multinationals who had no way to navigate the 'net other than by taking long and round-about treks into, and out of, the States. They have a healthy leg up in this respect. Now, to figure out why this "Internet" company considers their network to be intelligent, when the attribute of intelligence has been antithetical to the cause of netheads, everywhere. Hmm. What makes this network "intelligent?" Anyone? The company has a number of formidable competitors, although due to the way they differentiate themselves, they each would claim to be in their own niche. Some say they are ISPs' SPs (like ABOV), others call themselves ASPs (take your pick), and still others are plain old ISPs (e.g., UUNET). A lot of schmoltzing and schtick going on in the marketecture departments of these cos. Catch my drift? Regards, Frank Coluccio
