Ummmm Never Mind.

Those are pretty good HP/UX binary numbers:

"As has already been suggested in another post, the performance numbers I
stated at HPWorld99 were PA mode numbers. For Clarity this means PA binaries
running in translated mode on IA-64. The original presentation slide can be
found in the HPWorld99 procedings."

So Merced does well at PA binaries... a hint of things
to come. Merced may be the old sneak attack ala Pentium
Pro i.e. the numbers look good and we are being sandbagged.
Now I wouldn't doubt that. Given enough time a million
monkies can pound out Shakespeare , etc.
