Hi Ike, I've actually been back for a while, but lurking. I did make it to Nova Scotia just fine, and did see most of the eclipse from an overlook on the Atlantic coast near Halifax, just east of the York Redoubt. Clouds obscured the best part, unfortunately, but we saw the beginning and the end. Some lucky folks in Cape Breton got an unobstructed view of the whole thing, I saw in the paper.

I did enjoy Canada, it reminded me of how the U.S. used to be when I was a kid, which I mean as a compliment, although I did miss driving on U.S. highways and did not like Canadian gas prices or the sales tax. 15%! I got an earful from a Canadian over on the Rambi thread when I remarked how I thought Canadians smoked more than we do in the U.S., so I had best leave it at that.
