I'm with you, too.
Today, I sold my wife, daughter, and her swingset, and took an 8th mortgage out on the house. I'm working 2 jobs and 3 shifts trying to generate extra capital so I can augment my Q purchases from last week.

Apollo

DownSouth Jerry.....you slay me; after following your spectacular insight on NTAP, you sell some. Good luck.

The fundamentals and the momentum are too compelling to ignore.

Yeah, I feel like a genius at the moment. Feeling like a genius is wonderful!! I was not kidding about the street lurking. It is astounding how many people I run into who know about SI.

I finally got a Album up on Photopoint. Here is the connection for those of you who want to see pictures of me dancing.

Uncle Frank, Several weeks ago there was some discussion here about VISX, but it did not get very far. I would like to see a discussion on VISX and laser eye surgery on this board. While I do not, at this point, believe VISX is a gorilla, it may well be a King.

I have been doing research on laser eye surgery - not from an investment standpoint, but from the viewpoint of a potential patient. If you think it appropriate, I will post some of what I have learned here. Hopefully, it may initiate a more thorough discussion.

Well boys and girls....

Since I am not selling my 4 Horsemen of the NAZ, and that I am not rich like Mike, Lindybill or you Sir....

I bought 1, read it, 1 only QCOM 2002 160 LEAP call about 3 months ago... I paid..... $ 5800 USD for it...

It got crushed to 60% of it's price 2-3 weeks after I bought it (great timing huh?!), and I had NO money to
average down...

What do you guys think could happen to this baby, when I will want to exercise/sell it in March 2001 (before the time value of the option starts going down dramatically) ?

If I understand this right, for every $ OVER 160$ this stock goes, the LEAP appreciates by as much ?

Hell , I could end up with 4x $ 40 LEAPs in 18 months, whne the stock is trading at $ 100 <smile>....

Take care everyone, on the BEST thread here at SI.

Jean

Frank:

I was a little surprised to see that you sold your NTAP. I really like this company's prospects looking forward. In reading the thread over the last couple of days I'm getting a little concerned that we are becoming a little overly exuberant re: our beloved Q. I also think that the weighting of Q in some portfolios on this thread is a little on the heavy side. I for one am considering a purchase of MSFT over the next couple of days. I read a great Motley Fool article tonight on Microsoft's overwhelming ability to generate free cash flow. I realize that I'm not one of the greatest contributors to this thread, but I think it's very important that we carefully monitor our enthusiasm for any one stock.
