Of course, some may still object that I have not verified for myself, but life is short..... A wonderful topic of after dinner conversation. How often do you talk about things (like the existence of WWII) that you have not personallay verified, but have verified only through the reports of others, both written and artistic (including photographic)? I was born during the war, but frankly I don't have personal verification that it ever happened. Indeed, do you have personal verification that New York really exists, outside those dreams you have had of going there? Very real seeming dreams, I'm sure.
