Eric; <OT> It can be very disheartening to look at some of our
ugly side, yet if we fail to then we are doomed to repeat it.

----------------
After the USSR decided it no longer had to keep so many
KGB classified secrets and started letting those official
sealed away documents go public the hawks over here were
sooo happy ...until they began to see how the
release of the documents might wake up the peons in this
Country as to much of it lead right back home.
Now there is a lid being clamped back on the KGB stuff , not
so much by Russia mind you, ( except at the request of our own State
Department and CIA ) who are now begging the Russian's to not
Embarrass them. Seems most of the stuff we were told about
dirty tricks the USSR was pulling was true, but it also seems
in the US the CIA and State Department were every bit as bad,
IF not more so.

We just started getting the History channel, and I can't
get over how much they have uncovered, damm I had an idea
that half the crap we read in the news papers was propaganda
but now it looks like 90% of it was or still is.
