Chaz & John....re Rambus

Well said John. I tried to say the same thing yesterday, but I think you said it better. (http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=11032296)

Chaz, sorry I didn't respond earlier to your question about earnings for Rambus. Basically, earnings for Rambus for the rest of '99 are irrelevant. Its earnings ramp-up will begin in calendar 2000, with estimates for 2000 ranging anywhere from .80 to > $1.00. What is important about earnings for '99 is that management tends to be conservative, they already have a revenue stream before real earnings from chip royalties begin, and despite their small earnings stream, they managed to beat estimates last quarter by 2 cents (I think).

Investing in Rambus now, is an investment for 2000-2005.
