AKLM - could be this - big name coming in GLEN COVE, N.Y., Aug 23 (Reuters) - Interactive entertainment company Acclaim Entertainment Inc. (Nasdaq:AKLM - news) said Monday it named William Sorenson as chief financial officer and executive vice president. He will take over the position of CFO from James Scoroposki, Acclaim's co-chairman, who served as acting CFO during the executive search. Sorenson's duties will encompass all internal financial functions, as well as Acclaim's stepped up activities in the merger and acquisitions arena, the company said. Sorenson joins Acclaim after serving as senior vice president of finance for News Corp. Ltd. (Australia:NCP.AX - news)(NYSE:NWS - news), one of the world's largest media and entertainment companies.
