In effect, you admit that there is a double standard here. Republicans are scrutinized more thoroughly on moral issues (dems being inherently immoral :-)).

But I don't see the dems scrutinized for their hypocrisy. Like big money. The dems fashion themselves as the party of the poor and disenfranchised. Yet the dems own Wall Street, Hollywood, and Martha's Vineyard. All of Clinton's buddies are big money. But again, no scrutiny.

Repubs succeed despite the negative press because good almost always beats evil, even with long odds.
