If you thought DVD sales were hot now, just wait until that happens. CD-RW blanks can be had for a buck apiece (I'm sure some of you can find them for less), and if DVD-RW is comparable to a VCR in price and the media is also price comparable, the wholesale shift to DVD is on. There will be no reason for anyone, at any income level, to buy a VCR, except to play that aging collection of tapes. This is the moment I've been waiting for.

But in the meantime, anyone watching RBAK, JNPR or EXTR? Shooting stars burning very brightly.
