Well, it was once again time for CNBC to have David Tice on, the director of the Prudent Bear fund, to tell us how terrible it is to invest in tech stocks, and how the world is going to hell. As usual, they never put up a chart of his fund, so in the interest of fairness, here it is in comparison with AOL over the last year.

Oh, David thinks gold is the place to be for the next century. I wonder if he is living in the 14th?

Also, anyone notice Tice gets on CNBC to pump his POS fund whenever his fund is going to crap? He is a good contrarian indicator, though, it usually signals a bull run.

Vendit,
I got back in AOL @ 87 against the advice of three of my friends. I guess they should be listening to me instead. I closed my previous position @ 134 I would like to see a nice run here but other techs like QCOM +8.5 AMCC +6.5 BRCM + 6.5 outperformed AOL + 3.8 in a pure rally. News is needed to get above the magic 100.

<<AOL is at $99 in after hours as the final.

>>

I noticed this as well. I hope it's a solid start to an upward curve and not just a head fake. I'd like to see if we can get the base up to the $120's in the short term and then be in good position for the typical christmas run.

Amazing listening to this jerk on cnbc from the prudent bear fund. Just looking at him, you can tell he's a bear. Man, what rubbish...he said it was going to be awful in the future...our kids will struggle and the economy is on the way to collapsing. He said Gold will be the thing to be in after the new millenium. How much you wanna bet this idiot is one of those folks that have 10,000 gallons of water and 2000lbs of corn meal stashed away under his mattress for Y2K?? The guy on the bull side of the debate was funny...he was almost speechless when the other guy dribbled all this crap..he had this funny " what a wacko " look on his face.

Have a good one
