And, Rambus has always said it would fight to protect its patents against any and all comers. This nice little threat is a warning to all others....this technology, in all its forms and iterations belongs to Rambus. Proceed on this turf at your peril.

As the Gorilla game points out, this is one thing that keeps the Gorillas gorillas.

Uncle and Dave: the comment by Tate is a marvelous shot across the bow of the good ship DDRDRAM.

In one simple question, Marcy has managed to potentially spread more positive FUD than any negative thing she has ever written.

pompsanders, you'd be surprised but if the cost differential between DDR DRAM and RDRAM is really some 20% or more, than a royalty load of even 5% won't get the DDR DRAM to be more expensive. As I said, since most of the DDR DRAM producers are probably licensees of RMBS the whole thing is a storm in a cup of tea.
