This patent infringement thing is just a beautiful bolt out of the blue, at least for me. If there is any meaningful uncertainty about the source of DDRDRAM capabilities, it is very possible that Rambus could tie things up nicely for a goodly period of time.

Now, ask yourself this....with this cloud around the technology who is going to sink million of R and D into its refinement when Rambus is an already proven, and legal, alternative?

UncleWest and Pomp:

this is one thing that keeps the Gorillas gorillas.
pomp,
nice word selection.
rmbs ceo mentioned tornado a while back!

Have been carrying the word on Rambus the past 4 months back to the Gorillas & Kings thread. Some of the recent new posters hail from those parts.

Having read the book, I would respectfully suggest that Tate's comment was off by about a year. Before entering the tornado, a company must first cross the chasm (achieve widespread adoption of its service or product); then, it enters a tornado when revenues/earnings appreciate by > 80-100%. I think that won't happen til Y2K, with annoucement of 1st qtr earnings. But like you, I am hoping for share price appreciation in advance of that based on expectations.

stan, long on Rmbs
