Starfire Minerals confirms that drilling has commenced on the Black
township property in Ontario, Aug. 24, 1999.
Drill core from the three diamond drill holes from the Big Maxx property
(Geikie township) have been logged, split and sent for assay to Swastika
Laboratories.
Diamond drill cores from the Spanride property are presently being prepared
for assay.

Along with the present three Property Drill program, the Company is going to conduct an airbourne survey and extensive till sampling on the 27 circular features (pipes) testing for kimberlite indicators on the two diamond prospects in Traill & Tolmie Townships, Ontario starting very early September.

Starfire also plans an extensive drill program on several key properties in Ontario throughout the Fall and Winter.
