One, it is a religious argument, and two, she was a woman. Dems do not like women in power, especially conservative women.


The first part of your sentence is exactly correct, I don't like religiously inspired laws which is just about all the right ever proposes... I also am a little miffed that they choose to invest their money in companies that are decidedly non-Christian... But anyway, as to your second point, I don't know of any conservative women that I would call powerful, other than Liddy Dole who I like. But then she is backing away from these social issues from what I have seen. All the top women out here are dems (but in prior decades would have been republicans I think - Feinstein, etc.).
