Dear JC, you are mischievous this morning! Bill and Melinda gave a huge amount of money either to the Red Cross or to the World Health Organization. I don't recall. The gift was the largest the organization had received from individuals. I believe the money was to be used for the vaccination of children and perhaps some of the money was to be used for research. There was a tv news item about the gift. I don't recall when they made the donation but Melinda was pregnant at the time. I know about Gates's PC and Windows gifts,and the controversy that has surrounded those donations, but the donation I mentioned was from Bill and Melinda. Cheers, Mephisto
