Kemble: I'm reading the new August 15th issue of CIO Magazine....

Guess who one of the top CIOs they featured was?......Of course it was Jerry Gregoire (DELL's CIO). He is highlighted as 'a leader for the next millenium.' They started a section on "Knowing your Customer" with a picture of DELL's CIO and it sure had some interesting comments. In DELL's usability lab they have been working with customers to test the length of time needed to get a new PC up and running. Here is a great quote from the article....

<<Known for its phenomenal success with mass customization and for possessing one of the world's most advanced IT infrastructures, the PC giant is, in some cases, adopting a surprisingly low-tech approach when it comes to getting closer to its customers. In fact, DELL's interest in making it easier to unpack a new computer is part of its Customer Experience strategy, which puts the customer at the heart of everything the company does....>>

Oh well, this is not surprising from DELL <G>. MSD has built a company that is full of top talent and he has developed a culture that motivates employees to continually improve processes, performance, and even customer experience..!!

See you in the 50s..:-)

Best Regards,

Scott
