Carole, I use E-Trade, and aside from the occasional outage I've been really happy with them.

Don't know how much you trade, but they offer free Level II to their frequent traders. In fact, I've read somewhere on SI that if you ask for it they give you a free trial when you sign up (but you have to ask for it).

Carole,
Actually Jason has been great for bringing up some very viable picks.
Everyone has their own style of trading, Jason usually takes quick profits, but he's hardly a P & D.
FWIW, I'm also holding PRFM for potential of IPO, I bought before Jason mentioned it <last week>. However, on his mention, I picked up some additional shares, as the mention will give it more exposure.
If you have level 2, you can watch it short term, tick by tick and make your own decisions. If not, you should take the time to do your own DD and go from there.
Jason made it clear that the IPO was not in the next few days, so a position trade could be navigated quite successfully I should think, with or without Jason.
SI is a great resource for finding possibilities. They can only become successes if you independently decide to make the right moves using your own instincts and expertise.
