NTT may get a license to transmit power in the coming deregulation ... a tit for tat given TEPCO's coming license to open up their network for i-net xmission. I am laughing about NTT's position, getting ready to invest in power transmission towers, lines and maybe even power plants. Wish them much success. It will be difficult even for Japanese politicians to deny the school children their free internet service. Smart premptive move on 9984's part. In some ways, Bill Gates has much to learn. Imagine the law makers in US cracking down on MSFT if MSFT were providing free i-net service via Web TV and MSN to schools and poor neighborhoods. Still not too late, Bill.
