RIM ******* A (P/S) ratio of more than 20 indicates a potential gorilla growing off a small revenue base - or a "MARKET MANIA."
Geoffrey Moore, a noted technology industry consultant and author, says the price-to-sales (P/S) ratio provides a gaugeof a company's earnings power and is a much more useful guide to analyzing high-tech companies than standard methods such as price-earnings ratios.
If we divide RIM's previous four quarters of revenues into its market cap we would get something well over 20 times!
