Speaking of institutional investors, $30 is one of the minimum requirement in order for a stock to enter their portfolio. It's not a written rule but many of them do apply it. So since RIMM just ventured over north of 30 and if it stays there for a little while, it may attract some more new institutional attention especially given its recent flurry of analysts' upgrade and contract announcement. Also btw, RIMM had buy ratings by few analysts from well known brokerage firms since it was only trading at mid teens, both institutional and retail investors had plenty of time to load it up. Right now analysts are simply reiterating their opinion and raising the price target which is expected when so many momentum players have yet to jump onboard this stock.

regards,

M. Dell gave the signal man, that is when the buy came out. You are looking backwards. IMHO
