Following is a link to an interesting and thought provoking presentation given by Dr. Colin J. Campbell to a House of Commons committee on July 7, 1999 entitled "THE IMMINENT PEAK OF WORLD OIL PRODUCTION":

hubbertpeak.com

Although the author is a consultant whose claim to fame has been in the prediction of the inevitability of future oil shortage and the economics relating thereto, his points are worth considering, even if one might take issue with his particular numbers.

The Hubbertpeak.com site contains a number of other commentaries and pieces of information about the industry, mostly aimed toward the theory of impending future global oil shortage and crises related thereto.

In posting these items, I am not endorsing their positions, but just indicating that it is a point of view for study and consideration.

PS - I'm posting this on O&G Price Economics, ABACF and HEC, having seen the original link to the article on the TLM thread.
