Paul, The average price defference between an Intel Piii 550 vs an AMD athlon system price was about $700.00 before todays Intel pirce cut. Since Intel did not cut prices by $700.00 across the board, One could expect the AMd based systems to still be priced below Intel offerings. With the AMD advantage of 35% faster performance on it should be an easy choice to pick the AMd boxes. Good news is AMD will most likly not have to reduce prices on the atholons for now.
