Netscape Online customers will not pay for Internet access, but will have to pay for phone charges while they are online at local rates. And if they need technical support, a call for help will cost a premium 50 pence (80 cents) per minute.

Part of the 80 cents per minute paid to the UK phone company goes to AOL in the form of revenue sharing. The average UK customer logs online an average of 70 hours per month so the monthly fee AOL ends up with is not too far from what it receives in the US.

I have the break out of revenue sharing somewhere and will post it when I find it.
