Sometimes better to retreat today to fight another day! Sorta like General Thomas before the battle of Nashville in 1864. He won a smashing victory after consolidating his forces while retreating!

Kerm... Why do you say that new wells are at a higher risk now? It was my understanding that the Temblor has pretty strong seismic definition and that the large Nabors rig on site to spud this week should be able to handle the pressure and variations of the Temblor and beyond. Am I oversimplifying this?

I agree that short term we may see some downside risk(or buying op) and I think long term we're sitting on a great find. The market usually trades on a six to twelve month horizon so I guess the only negative I can see here is the lack of information of the areal beyond 17428 ft. Is this accurate?..Thanks....Stephen

Hi Kerm,

<<Evaluation was the key factor here --- we knew well would be successful. Incomplete testing is a negative over near term.>>

I concur with your post provided that when you state "Incomplete testing" you mean an incomplete drilling penetration of the structure as opposed to incomplete flow\production testing. I don't believe anyone would question the commercial production capability of the reservoir\well.

Have a great day.
