long before my time, and obviously yours too, there was a weekly 1/2 hour SitCom starring Jackie Gleason and Art Carney called the Honeymooners. "Get the bags, Norton. We're rich!" is reported to have been a regular line in the program's dialogue. Further explanation is obviously needed here. "Get the bags, Norton. We're rich!" was one line from one episode. Kramden, the poor sadsack bus driver (or is it dus briver - from another episode), was kind to an old lady passenger who died and left Ralph in her will. When Ralph found out he was in her will and was left "her fortune", he told Norton to "Get the bags, Norton. We're rich!" . Since events never turn out right for Ralph, her "fortune" turned out to be the name of her bird. (Note there may be inaccuracies, this is from memory)
