Mark,

If the phone is getting internet information with "just" SMS (short message service) there is nothing extra that is needed in the phone from this competitor. However, with the phone.com browser the user can actually "interact" with the web. So, phone.com is two way versus one-way, I believe.

They will ALWAYS need a server to interoperate over the air interface. I don't see there being only one air interface, even third generation wireless groups can not agree

I would like to find out how this micro-browser is integrated in the phone. I agree with some on the thread that mentioned microsoft. Windows CE could be a threat but the sw is still too big. I think Ericson has their own operating system.

I was actually following the company when it was unwired planet, and once it IPOed, I saw it triple. So I just thought I would wait a while. Unfortunately I was just two days too late, after the dip to $45.

I am going to probably buy a little now just in case it never comes back. If it does come back I will average down.

John
