(COMTEX) B: Sonopress unveils innovative DVDplus combined CD/DVD syst B: Sonopress unveils innovative DVDplus combined CD/DVD system AUG 24, 1999, M2 Communications - Multimedia manufacturer Sonopress has introduced a new disc format that it says combines the best of both DVD and CD. The format, which is called DVDplus, has a normal CD, either audio or ROM, on one side of the disc, while the other side has a DVD 5. With the dual function, for instance a concert could be stored as a video recording on the DVD side, while the same concert would be available as an audio recording on the other side.
