It's interesting that you made the distinction between semantics [or pc language], and sentiment [or intent]. I wish more people would do that. Like you, I agree with the latter but not the former.

There's one way to find out...take a college course in "Elvis Sightings 101". I'm reasonably sure some college teaches such a course.

According to this week's USN&WR, colleges are teaching all sorts of bizarre courses these days. It's downright scary to me what's going on in the name of education these days.
