Two questions;
1. If 3dfx had a huge write off with their merger, what will happen with S3 and Diamond?

2. Look at the inventory increase in 3dfx, who is selling the chips?

Not every company is run by dishonest people (like the previous management of this one).

As far as I can tell, nvda are continuing to execute well, but everybody is probably facing the same pricing challenges that is posed by i810 and the i820.

But if what you are saying is true, then there is a time proven pattern to this. The first indication would be heavy (I mean really really heavy) selling by insiders (bring back memories?) before the CFO resigns and announcement of accounting irregularities, and it would be very hard to miss.

Doubt if that will happen, but I've seen stranger things happen.

<Was Nvidia Stuffing Its Distribution Channel With 'Anything That Wasn't Nailed Down?'> If that is true I would say expect an earnings restatement within 6-9 months, if not sooner.
