Digital Microwave Corporation Names Harvey E. Scheingold
Vice President, Corporate Quality

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Microwave Corporation (Nasdaq: DMIC),
today announced that Harvey E. Scheingold has joined the Company as Vice President,
Corporate Quality. Digital Microwave has embarked on a company-wide program for
world-class quality and processes, and Mr. Scheingold will be responsible for developing
and implementing the program. He will report to Charles D. Kissner, Digital Microwave
Corporation Chairman and CEO.

Mr. Scheingold most recently was Vice President of Quality and Productivity for Siemens
Information and Communications Systems. At Siemens, he directed all quality functions
and implemented a complete strategic quality. Scheingold has BSEE and MBA degrees from Drexel
University and has received Malcolm Baldridge quality assessor training and ISO 9000
auditor training.
