Intel--Mt. Everest

Tony, hello. I recall Paul E. confirming his buy @ $52, and your analogy seems pretty accurate, as we working stiffs slog through, but agreed, "more power to them". I'll hold AMAT, based solely on your lead. <GG>. Actually, now that Greenspan has raised the cost of anyone with outstanding credit, the cash poor companies may be in a bit of a "situation" vs. the cash rich gorillas (Intel, Appld Mats.)
Your CSCO, MSFT, fall into the latter category, and since you own our 25 y.o.'s still favorite company, EMC, not much worry, altho' one wonders a little, but not much, about the competition issue in storage tech.

Finally, don't know about NTRO but will try to read up on it. Sonki liked MRBA and the Stock has taken a slide from huge euphoric gains, so the ? again is fundamentals, which is why I hold Intel all these years but of course nowhere near as much , not as long, and not as cheap as Mr. Engel. Again, more power to him.

BTW, does anyone other than Sonny and yours truly question the Fed's latest nonsense about a "NEUTRAL" bias towards hiking the cost of borrowing? Que sera, sera, and screw the little and/or growing guy.
Back to work for me.

Regards, Royco

Hello Tony again. About those stocks mentioned in your post, all have really good press. And wow. Msft today. I was going to buy that yesterday but decided to wait for the FED. Intc was not able to keep it's higher advance after that rate hike.

About Netro. I never heard of it and I check those IPOs. I will look into it. Sometimes I take a position in some of these things after they have been on the market for a cpl of days. I got some shares of ICGE through my ownership of SFE. I got those shares at 12 a little over a week ago and today it's up over 11 to 51+. Darn. That's what I should have bought more of. I kept watching it for a little down turn but it just keeps going up. Now talking about my purchase of Marimba. It did nothing but go down after I bought it. I guess it's win a few and lose a few. As long as the winners keep the upper hand. I guess I just give this NTRO a quick look before finally going off.

Sonny
