Tom,

Ha ha ha...ahhhhh. The little monste...I mean angel, was inconsolable last night. Daddy volunteered to forego that sleep thing so that Mommy could catch up. He finally went to sleep around 4:00am.

I remember those nights.

I spent many nights walking the newbies around, cradling them, talking to them, consoling them, so Mom could get some sleep for the day ahead. Boy was it fun. Till the next day.

The thing I loved the most about it though was the fact that I could do it. They would not settle down until I got up.

As my kids got older, they would wake up, snub their Mom, walk around to my side of the bed, and cuddle in.

Of course, now that they are 18, 15 and 13, they have ceased and desisted with the cuddling in. Thank goodness. There were mornings though that we woke up with all three of them either in the bed, or on the floor near it.

They still seem to have a special bond with me because of it though.

If they have an argument with their Mom, they don't hesitate to come to me to mediate.

I am a very proud Dad, and have reason to be.

Have fun,
Phil
