Thanks for the comments. I have felt that the alluvial deposits are the elusive "motherload". TECK spent all their efforts looking for the great pipe, instead of taking a look at what was in front of them.
After Canabrava got some real diamond industry people you can see the focus change, and with a little reading between the lines it shows where they see the potential (initially anyway).
When factoring these rare, multi-million dollar diamonds, it would seem the only way to determine the real potential of the rivers and channels is through large bulk samples (and a lot of trenching,which is what they are doing now).
Kinda like Dawson ,Yukon. never did find the gold source, but the rivers and streams made a lot of people rich!-mike
