Hi Doc,

<<Can you tell me and others what role the vertical fracturing of the Temblor may have played in the JV decision to stop and case right here?>>

The lost circulation was probably a consequence of the very high permeability due to the fractures. So, the fractures probably "forced" the decision.

<<...what additional drilling information do they require in order to guide the next well, and estimate further reserves?>>

How thick is the 2nd sand ?? What is it's "storage capacity" ?? What fluid(s) does it contain ?? What sands are there below the second sand ?? Are they also porous and hydrocarbon saturated or are they wet ?? Are they communicating via a fracture system or not ?? If not, what pressures exist in each of these sands ?? What is the total "Net" pay in the structure..... 100 feet, 200 feet, 500 feet, 1,000 feet ?? Where is the water ...... maybe just 10 feet below the deepest depth logged, or 2,000 feet ?? etc., etc., etc.

<<Also, would they have been able to run seismic data from downhole to better elucidate the Temblor and what if any further information might this give us?>>

I'm not sure that a single "shot point" would help a whole lot. S&P ???

<<Might I suggest a nocturnal trip to the neighbor's backyard?>>

Oh, believe me I'd love to jump in that hot tub but I'm afraid her husband would kill me (if Mrs. G. didn't) !!

Later,
