Aw, I was just trying to twist the knife a bit belatedly. I felt like I was smokin this weekend as we crawled up a mountain for one more and maybe the final ski run of the season. Climbed a mountain in Desolation called Pyramid peak. Got to about 9500 only as that is where the snow ended and my jocky buddy turns out to have acrophobic tendencies, which gives me (mr. lardbutt) all sorts of giddy little amusements as I generally had to goad his macho testosterone-laced body into taking every other step when the hill got steep enough. Camped out two nights. Caught a bunch of brookies, ate same. Watched the sun set over Aloha lake as I fly fished the outlet of a down stream little lake. Great colors in the sky. Great weekend and we even got about 1000 vertical feet of sliding. In six weeks we leave for Bhutan and Tibet (can I call it that here? - hey what the heck! no PC for the PRC). Gotta start doing some serious high altitude practice. Maybe I should just hold my breath for a half an hour each day ?
