> I wish you success with your Rambus play. I have two perceptions that make me shy away from it: * I am very familiar with the semiconductor business model, having worked in the field for over 30 years, and feel the capital costs are excessive in the world of >$2B fabs. * I feel Rambus is a Construct Gorilla, dependent on an artificial Tornado that Intel is trying to create. Best regards, Bruce. My wife and I visited Vienna last year, and you live in one of the most wonderful cities in the world. Too bad we didn't get a chance to hear you perform. Frank Maybe next time you can hear me sing. It is indeed beautiful. I even enjoy playing golf on a course in Vienna that has hundreds of pheasant and deer on the fairways and greens. As a hunter who came from the midwest, believe me, I've been tempted to throw the old 410 shotgun in the golf bag to get a few 'birdies' for the freezer when I play. You think anyone would notice? Thanks for the best wishes with my Rambus play. I would never try to challenge your experience in the semiconductor business, believe me. That's about as far away from wearing tights and singing opera as it gets for me. However, I am glad that Rambus is on the Wait and Watch portfolio. I know a lot of people have been waitin' and watchin' for quite some time now. However, the time is at hand and things look poised to put an end to all of that waitin' and watchin' - which ever way it turns out. Regardless of the cap costs for the fabs - somebody certainly seems ramped up to make the memory. If not, the undercurrents and pieces of the puzzle that seem to be fitting together will be one heck of a lesson to all those involved. Not to worry, I own more Qualcomm than I do Rambus. BB
